| PRESSURIZED FILTERS (W/UV)These filters have the advantage of being very easy to clean, and, because the water is under pressure, are very flexible for various installation requirements. This means they can be installed at pond level and push water up to a waterfall or stream without having to be installed at the top of the highest water source. These filters provide excellent bio filtration. There are typically back wash features with pressurized filters that allow pond water to be used to clean the filter, therefore making the maintenance easier. The dirty water is discharged to waste, and the whole process only takes a minute or so.
THESE FILTERS combine UV Clarification and biological filtration, to guarantee crystal clear, purified water.
The advantage of these filters are as follows:
ALGAE DESTRUCTION: Exposure to the UV lamp kills the single-celled algae that cause green water. As they die, the algae form into clumps.
MECHANICAL FILTRATION: Foam filter sponge pads trap algae clumps plus other large particles.
BIOLOGICAL PURIFICATION: After mechanical filtration, the filter medium, enables rapid growth of aerobic bacterial resulting in removal of lethal ammonia and nitrite and allows clear water to return to the pond.
