POND ALGAEFIX™

API® POND ALGAEFIX algae control helps control many types of green or green water algae, string or hair algae, and blanketweed in ponds with live plants. This powerful and fast-acting treatment controls existing algae, and helps resolve algae blooms. Registered with the EPA, ALGAEFIX algae control is safe for use in ponds, fountains, and waterfalls, and may be used in ponds with live plants and fish.

Instructions

To ensure accurate dosing, determine pond volume before use. Do not overdose. Add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) for each 50 gallons or 0.25 cup for each 600 gallons of pond or fountain water. Thoroughly mix into pond water by adding near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. It can be mixed in a bucket and dispersed evenly around the pond. Repeat dose every 3 days until algae is controlled. Once algae growth is under control, add one dose per week. 

DO NOT use with freshwater crustaceans, including: shrimp, crabs and lobsters.

Directions For Use:

Add 1 teaspoonful for every 50 gallons of pond/fountain water or 1/2 cup for every 1,200 gallons. Thoroughly mix into pond/fountain by adding near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. Can be mixed in a bucket of pond/fountain water and dispersed evenly around the pond/fountain.
Repeat application every 3 days until algae is controlled. Be prepared to siphon out dead filamentous algae.

Once algae growth is under control, add one application per week. Weekly treatments will control algal growth and reduce pond/fountain maintenance.

Caution: 

Do not use AlgaeFix with crustaceans, including: crabs, shrimp, freshwater shrimp, and freshwater lobsters.
